In honor of Valentine's Day, because we all know that every Mary Sue's main purpose in life is to hook up with whatever character her author thinks is hot, are there any fandoms currently experiencing a flood of annoying and unrealistic original characters? My fandoms' heydays came and went long before I got into them, and I'm curious.
