I was just rewatching the Twilight Zone episode "Showdown with Rance McGrew", and realized it's got a lot in common with an Official Fanfiction University. We see an established Suethor (In one episode of the western, Rance the self-insert had fallen from 800 ft./≈244 m. onto a horse without killing either himself, the horse, or its rider) setting up a fic that throws Jesse James so far OOC he actually comes back to the land of the living to get some sense knocked into McGrew.
