There was a tumblr post that brought me here and I was like "PPC"...that sounds so familiar?
WHOA. I was "Leelee" on the board and was in the "Troll-Slaying Division". I also cannot believe I have my own wikia page???

I didn’t actually watch it. (I would need a German dub to understand people talking, or a script to read what they are saying.) This guess is entirely based on poking into Mark Watches to get more of the pop culture references I usually don’t get.

When I say obscure, I’m talking “throwaway line in book probably no-one else has read”. So I’m not expecting anyone to get it. And I’m not telling, either. *evil laugh* Well, not yet, anyway.

I don't know if you'd remember much from back then, or would have any bits of writing still hanging around on a computer, but as one of our self-appointed historians, I'd love to hear anything you've got. There are a few things about the Troll Division that weren't quite established, such as what Fixie Dust and Grapnades are, and how "sunning" a troll actually worked, and it's not every day you get to talk to a primary source. Plus, I like the one Troll Division story there is a lot, and I wish there had been more. ^_^

I totally approve! I don't really have any of that info anymore- I just remember it was a collaborative piece between the three of us. I still do have my, oof, pretty bad fanfic up that is mentioned in the story "Legolas and the Mermaid". It's on fanfic.net under "Leelee5" (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1152199/1/The-Mermaid-and-Legolas)
I think I sent this story into a contest, which is what led me to the PPC? I know I then migrated to God Awful Fanfiction website, which had an easier message board system for me to follow.
I was using AOL back in 2003, which never saved group chat or emails, so sadly, I just don't have the info. Nothing dramatic happened between the authors, I think we just all went our separate ways.
Hehe, I'll have to read the fic at some point. Funfun. ^_^
We have heard from Saphie occasionally over the years. Unless it was Andy sometimes. I believe they're still working together, and eventually plan to publish a book based on the (heavily tweaked) concept of "Suedom."
I've just remembered I have a link to Saphie's blog, and I should remember this more often, because wow, I like what she has to say!

The Board archives (over here) place you as early as January 2003, which in PPC terms is well old. Looking through the lists of names from back then is like looking at mythology: "And lo, in those days was Otik the Progenitor incarnate in the Board, and the twin dragons Saph and Leo did walk beside Suzine the Magnificent; yea, and even did Leelee and Saphie bestride the Board like Colossi."

I was 23 in 2003, so i am WELL OLD now, haa. Reading through all this is like dusting off some really old memories. Thanks for the nice greetings! :D
