Today I read an article about a project that National Public Radio (NPR) is doing, that encourages people to interview others with different political views and submit the results. The questions, however, were all almost completely apolitical, as the focus was building empathy and bonds, not proving who was right or wrong.
So I thought to myself, why not do it with writing?
Boarders, I challenge you to find a badficcer in your life (whether IRL or online) and interview them about things that aren't about what counts as good or bad writing, but rather have to do with writing, reading, and life in general.
Things like:
- "What inspired you to start writing?"
- "What are you setting out to do when you write fanfic?" (Keep your thoughts to yourself about whether or not they achieve this goal.)
- "Have you read anything that impacted you in a particular way?"
- "What's your advice to other writers out there?"
This could turn out pretty good or pretty humorous. Let's give it a try.
