We have a perfect example of a Modesty Towel here...
Anyways, Prisma Illya is really funny, so I agree on the suggestion.

Where the second (and luckily last) chapter of a rather pointless Nanoha fic is throroughly snarked on by a team of Agents and Madoka Magica canon characters.
Some jokes require reading of Part 1 in order to actually be funny.
I'm not a Magical Girl fan (in fact, I know nothing of the series...), but this was a really fun read! I especially liked Kyubey being confused 99.99% of the time. Hee...
You might have just given me incentive to get into Magical Girl - and totally indirectly given me incentive to get into Fate/Stay. To give myself a wider range of knowledge, of course.
But by Magical Girl, what do you mean? Because Magical Girl is an entire genre.
The fic sporked was from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, while Madoka, Homura and Kyubey are from another series entirely (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
And I have no idea whatsoever about how I managed to get you into Fate/Stay Night, especially since I never played it.
(I would understand if it was Fate/Zero, as it is from the same guy who did Madoka Magica, but even then I never mentioned it..)
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. /facepalm
And Fate/Stay Night because I am sick, need stuff to take my mind off being sick, and am still deprived of my WoW for another week or so because life hates me. And also because two and two equals I should expand my fandoms and have been considering getting into Fate/Stay Night for a while anyway, and the incentive to get into Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha kick started my incentive to get into Fate/Stay Night.
TL; DR: There are literally two dozen bagpiping Elmos in my bedroom right now, how can I be expected to think rationally?
You know, Fate/Stay Night has a magical girl spinoff, called F starring... Illya. Yes, Illyasviel Von Einzburn. As a 'normal', albeit magical-girl obsessed, teenage girl who recieves a magical staff and meets Rin, who, well...
The series, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, is one of the most tongue-in-cheek Magical Girl comics, and it is glorious and wonderful and fourth-wall-breaky and epic. Also, it had a completely canon crossover with MGLN where Nanoha, Fate, Miyu (character original to this comic) and Illya team up, and Fate chops an apartment building in half.
[It does feature a lot of fanservice-y shots, so do be warned.)
Fanservice is a loverly thing to have~
So many things to get into! SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES!

Why not my reason, that being "Mike's a native of the Nasuverse and you're curious"? :P (Hope you don't have any bad dreams about getting into a Grail War~)
Although it is a very good reason. :D
Anyways, I suggest Madoka Magica too. It's just twelve episodes, so I guess it will be easy to fit in.
I was able to see it in a single day, taking advantage of a Sunday during which I had literally nothing to do.
