I mean, Tungsten-Tritium-Fluorine?
Because this Young Wizards fic gave me secondhand flashbacks, since I wasn't even around when this style of writing was popular.
Canon inaccuracies (assuming the author isn't just out of the loop when it comes to the more recent books), very poorly formatted dialogue, and dialogue that doesn't look very much like what the characters would SAY, at that!
It genuinely hurt to make myself read this one, and that makes me sad. :(
Another chapter awaits.

It seems that, up to logistics, I'll be helping beta read this thing.
Here's hoping that works out.
Maybe ask if they've gotten to read Games Wizards Play as well?
I did find out this is meant to be some sort of AU (even though it's not labelled as such, which is somewhat understandable because new to fandom and also FFnet tagging is kinda bad).
- Tomash
Not sure why Ronan's involved, though.
(Literal character replacement, maybe? I should hope that's Roshaun...)
Because the quote-formatting problem persists.
They do seem to have read my last comment, though, which I appreciate.
I admire the writer's chapter uploading consistency/their determination, but "Supersonic" to describe a sun, let alone Thahit? Seriously?
That, at least, is a case of 'wrong word, understandable sentiment'.
Appears to be the same quality as the first.
What's scary is that I'm starting to find the writing style readable...
Someone might want to, uh, maybe mentor this person???
Preferably someone who has a FFNet account.
On the other hand, if this person (A) continues the fic and (B) rejects help, at least it looks missionable?
That is such a speshul name. They both are.
When we claim badfic, we don't usually announce it on the Board, otherwise the Board would be spammed with this kind of thing. As you can see, with each post you make, another post drops further down, which may hide a potentially interesting conversation from view. Therefore, we ask that you be a little more conservative with what you make Board posts about.
Of course, the converse is true: Every post you make pushes a controversial post or big mishap one step closer to the Point of No Return, otherwise known as the second page. And it's not like we discourage Board activity, either. Just... this is not the subject for it.
Don't worry; everyone makes mistakes. Just remember that for next time and it will all be fine.
I think Tawaki likes to post his claims to share the badfic he's discovered, in case we feel like gawking at it along with him. It's no big deal.
