Wow. Hi everyone! Most of y'all probably won't know who I am... I used to be a PPCer and Permission Giver back in the day. (The day was years ago.) I heard from Huinesoron that the old place was closing down, came to take a look, and decided this was as good a time as any to come back in and take a look around.

The Young Wizards series by Diane Duane is about (to start) two kids who find out there's a language used to talk to the universe, and everything in it.

It's also about coping with and growing beyond loss, setting twisted things right again, and learning how to break cycles of violence - alongside slowing down the death of the universe.

And also about more alien aliens than you could shake a stick at!

It's a long-running series, and it's still going! You can check out some of the books here.

Anyway, welcome back, Cassie! I'm Neo Skater. "Neo" is the prefix, "Skater" is the base name, but you can call me by either. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

As for returnbie gifts, have a Fortune MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM diamond pickaxe! It's only got one durability point, so use it wisely!

Once upon a time, I was known upon the internets as Techno-Dann. And that name didn't fit me, and that gender really didn't fit me, so I found a more comfortable way to be. And now I'm Delta Juliette instead.

Ahh, I'd just glanced at the top of her wiki page before and assumed that was her birthday. Oops! Well, being a few years older certainly makes her cooler in Henry's opinion. He thinks he ought to be in the same league as the bigger kids already, please and thank. I need to update his TYH story (he has a little half-brother now!), but that much holds true.

I think of you as one of the first (or at least most enthusiastic) people to create massive networks of relationships and families and things going on with your agents behind the scenes, by the way. I never understood it until I started getting drawn into that sort of thing myself. Now I do, and I'm sorry for ever side-eyeing it, because it's very fun!

As for me, the PPC will probably never be rid of me. It's entirely too late. ^_^

It's scary how time flies and kids grow when you're not watching. XD And to be fair, the wiki entries haven't bene touched by me in years either. :P

I found all my old PPC notes on a drive and am rummaging through them... it's amazing how much stuff I developed behind the scenes.

It just felt like if the PPC was a real community, then things were obviously going to be going on beyond missions. It feels more... I don't know, grounded? Which is a bizarre thing to say about an organisation that exists in between assorted realities, I know, but it's like things that Pterry holy horns mentioned in his work sometimes - it's all very well to have the big important things happening, but who does all the little things that make the big things go smoothly? Where do the background characters come from and where do they go* after the event's over?

It's always good to know there's pillars of the community around. <3
