Thanks to the hard work of Technician Tomash, Technician Julia, and Honorary Technician Thoth, we are finished with time to spare: The New Board is online, up to date with all our history here, and ready for yourwebapps to shut down at the end of the month.
The New Board has useful features like actual security, a friendly advertising policy (none allowed), and an expectation that it won't be shutting down at the end of the month. It's also not running on a basket of potatoes!
...okay, okay, there are some potatoes involved in the routing infrastructure. They're very clever potatoes, and you are entirely welcome to try routing through hypothetical alternate universes with strictly conventional computing infrastructure.
Ahem. Anyways! It's a change, I know. A pretty serious one - 199610 is a number that's been in my muscle memory for decades. But the New Board was built with love for this community, and with care for the history here, and perhaps most importantly, it's a thing we can build on to make a future home. -

To be honest, I'm getting feels. I'm one of the less invested people here, but I'm not really an active part of any other community at the moment. Anyway, I hope the new Board works fine!
Also, is there any way you can add an option to make the new Board look like the old Board for you? Maybe swap out the CSS files to change the fonts and spacing? -

I intend to keep hanging around here until the bitter end, myself, but it's great knowing we have somewhere to go when YourWebApps shuts down for good.
Also, the console discussion over there looks fun. ^_^

I believe we're planning on taking a final snapshot of the Board here when we're down to hours before shutdown, so we shouldn't lose much of anything - except the Board itself, of course.

... to grab a full HTML copy of the front page on the 31st and edit all the links to point to the relevant archive, so that we have a final shrine (so to speak) preserved that we can all go back to and stare wistfully at.
