Good news, Everyone! We have date for movie, repeat, we have date for movie! Namely, October 15, 2021!
...So yeah, that's quite a wait. My only other concerns are a) how long it's going to be in theaters, b) whether or not it's a limited release and c) how quickly tickets are going to go.
It's also not so much a movie as just a recording of the stage play, but it does have the original cast, which is more than worth it.
(My birthday is also in October, so I can consider it something of a late gift!)

This is such good news! Hamilton is one of the first musicals I've listened to, and it officially opened up the world of musical theatre to me. It's one of my biggest regrets to not have gotten into it while the original cast is still on Broadway. It'd be so nice to see them clearly! Come on, Chloe. It's only 20 months. You can wait...
Right?
I got to see a live production of Hamilton when it was on tour, and it was absolutely fantastic. I really hope that this leads to more musicals/plays/etc being officially recorded and put in theaters/sold as CDs. (Or streamed to theaters like Live at the Met.) Stage productions are valid, and there's certainly an audience for them.
All hail our corporate overlords.
(Slightly pessimistic and dystopian jokes aside, I'm so excited to finally get to see this!)
