Help wanted for a mission Live Reading! by

Hey, everyone! It's been a while, and largely I've been more active on the Discord than here, but I had this idea for a short while and wanted to get it out there. So, here goes:
Some years back, I tried to do a live-reading of my very first PPC mission, "Connecting The Dots". Emphasis on "tried" because I ended up getting past only the prologue, and then stopping and never actually managing to continue let alone finish it. I still feel bad that it happened, and I think I know why it fell through: personal cowardice. The main reason I sporked the fic way back when, aside from obviously addressing all of the problems pertaining to the fic itself, was because it carried a lot of emotional and personal baggage from when I was younger and acted in a way that alienated more than a few people both online and off, and the decline in the fic's quality as the writing progressed reflected that. Re-reading the fic thus made me feel understandably guilty, angry with myself, and so embarrassed that I felt like it would be too much trouble to continue with the live-reading. I'd have to relive a lot of the fic's worst moments, in other words. I still feel bad that I never did finish that live-reading because of this, though, and it's a selfish move which I still regret and wish to apologize for. So to make up for it, I've thought about re-doing the live-reading from start to finish, although this time, I was hoping to get some help with this reading - there's so many characters involved that voicing them myself would have been a chore in its own right!
To this end, I was wondering if anyone here on the Board (who can also be on the Discord server, I mean) would like to attend this new live-reading, when you guys think would be a good time for me to host it (preferably on Saturdays and Sundays since I'm free all day on those days) - and most importantly, if those of you who can attend the voice chat are willing to provide voices for the characters featured. I plan on doing the narrating and voicing the characters currently belonging to myself, including Falchion, Rashida, Sarah, Ripper, and... uh... T/e/r/r/o/r/d/a/c/t/y/l... but if anyone else is willing to voice the canon characters, feel free to specify who you wish to voice. If you don't feel confident in voicing people, that's fine - attendance and enjoyment of the reading is fine even if it's at my own expense! XD
For reference, I intend to read from the AO3 re-upload of the mission, the recent editing of which in certain parts was what inspired me to want to redo the live-reading:
RC #227 Mission #1: Connecting The Dots (Warning: NSFW, somewhat NSFB, NSFM, and contains mentions of several blacklisted topics on the Discord server.)
I apologize by the way if this comes off as being self-centered. If anyone has issues with what I intend to do, feel free to let me know, and if the rest of you think I shouldn't then that's fine, too. Otherwise, feel free to reply to this post or send me a PM if you wish to help! Thanks in advance, and I look forward to FINALLY redoing this thing!

I would like to join the live reading. I think that Sunday is a good day,m. But the problem I always have with these readings is the time, so I will share my time zone time. It’s GMT 8+.
There is also another problem, which is the fact that I am no longer in the Discord server. To oversimplify it( and because I don’t want to open a can of worms), I left and the invite is gone.
I also believe that you can only join one Discord voice chat at one time, so now I have managed to overcomplicate everything. Sorry SilverSkarmory if I made your planning more difficult.

Delta Juliette has allowed me to rejoin the Discord Server.
I also wanted to voice act a Stu, until I realised that there probably were no Stus, and if my vice hasn’t begin to break then maybe I could have voiced the Sue. ~SomeRandomPersonAccount

As stated on the Discord, I'll have to see if my schedule allows it, but it sounds fun! I also have zero experience in voice acting, so I might as well practice.

I'm interested in mission live-readings generally, for sure! I don't quite feel that I can commit to something the length of that one, though. 48k is nearly a novel!
What about something from TOS? I have a vague, nebulous fantasy about adapting it into an audio drama someday, and a live reading would be good practice for that. ^_^
I don't think it's self-centered to offer your own work for the entertainment of others, to be clear. I would offer mine, except I have an aversion to reading my own words out loud. It just weirds me out. I'd spend the whole time cringing at phrasing that ends up not working and worrying about getting my characters' voices wrong because over half of them are guys and I've never done accents. ^_^;

Voice-work isn't required necessarily. by

If you feel that just attending and providing comments where appropriate is better, that's alright by me! Being among the audience is as much a part of the experience as playing a cast member.
I would like to do at least one of the TOS works as well in the future, but 1) the agents involved are female, and I'm slightly rusty at voicing women, and 2) I still need to re-read the works themselves to get a hang of them, though I'm sensing that you're the one planning to do the TOS live-reading. I'd be willing to provide supporting roles if that's the case, but that's assuming I can actually attend the readings themselves, which of course depends on what times are available within my very busy work schedule. We'll just have to wait and see!

You were one of the first PPCers whose missions I specifically went looking for, so forgive any over-eagerness. I'd be glad to voice whoever needs it, but I'd prefer a female character or narration. If I can make it through a few chapters of The Rise of the Drackens with a mostly straight face, I'm fairly sure I can do this.

There's a number of possible roles open, yes! by

You can also take more than one role if you like, there's no rule against it. If you feel confident in accurately voicing Violet, Helen, Chell, GlaDOS, or Ellie the mammoth, feel free to pick at least one among them. I look forward to seeing how you'd portray your choices!

that I've got zero voice acting experience unless reading badfic in voip counts, and probably close to that amount of skill. But I think I have decent "narrator" and "whiny brat" voices, so that's something, right? :p
I'll have to work on that in the meantime.
