You go to the temple, listen to the rabbi, throw your sins into the water, and then have honeyed apples. Then you spend ten days trying to be a good person so your name gets written in the Book of Life, then it's Yom Kippur.
At least, that's how my (pretty reform) temple did it, no idea about what Orthodox Jews do.
Or Rosh Hashanah. I suppose it started last night, but still.

Happy Rosh Hashanah then! I consider myself an agnostic, but you should take every opportunity to celebrate. Plus, apples in honey are delicious.
I'll bring my dad's rugelach to the table, because they're wonderful (little rolled-up cookies with cinnamon, chocolate, and/or nuts and dried fruit).
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year, regardless of religion or calendar thereof.
For any other Jewish Boarders, my rabbi suggests reading and napping as good ways to survive Yom Kippur.
I'm Catholic myself, but I believe every religion has the right to celebrate and be merry! So...Yay!

That's an interesting idea, actually - the whole throwing sins into the water thing, I mean. It's very symbolic-sounding. I like it!

Not Jewish myself (I am a somewhat-Catholic Christian, althoug exactly what I believe in is kinda vague.), but I still want to wish happiness (or whatever is wished for on this festivity) to all of you!
It's never a bad day to wish happiness to anyone!
