Congratulations on surviving two whole decades!

I dunno where I came across this quote, but I've remembered it ever since, and it seems appropriate: "Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water."

I think it means we're never above taking care of some basic responsibilities in life, even if we might find them tedious. After all, what good is being enlightened if you're cold, thirsty, and smelly, right? I think it also means that there's no shame in doing what some might consider menial tasks. It's always worthy to do what is necessary. I tell myself this often when I'm mopping the floor at work or washing dishes. {= )

That said, I hope you have something fun planned, too!
