This was originally posted in my latest thread about food (specifically the wolfberry one), but since it seems not easily noticeable and thus is still unanswered, I will repost it here:
The question is specifically about the chángshān seen in this character design from a Chinese game – note how the black one has clasps going down the left side of the garb rather than the right. Does this carry any connotations similar to closing a kimono right-over-left?

There are many reasons for a post to go unanswered. In this case, the most likely reason is that we're a small group of mostly school-age, mostly Europeans and Americans, and we probably don't know the answer to your question about a very specific detail of Chinese sartorial tradition.
Also, seeing a post does not obligate anyone to reply to it if they're not interested. No post is entitled to a response simply because it exists, and demanding attention is rude. Especially when the group has already signaled a lack of interest in the topic by not engaging with it the first time.
Incidentally, you could have spent the two weeks between the first post and this one researching the question yourself, and you would probably have an answer by now.
