Would anyone be interested in a weekly Animorphs read-aloud? by

I was thinking to myself, since I had all the books in the series—yes, even the choose your own adventure books—and there seems to be a sizeable number of folks who are either nostalgic about the series or would like to read them but don't have access to them—maybe once a week, say on Friday nights(?) I could read aloud from my collection and slowly go through the series.
For those who don't know: Animorphs is a 54+ book series (54 books in the main story, plus a handful of companion books covering side characters or prequels) about a group of ordinary high school kids who find an alien called an Andalite who crash-lands on Earth and gives them the power to turn into animals. The problem is, there's another species of alien already on Earth called Yeerks, who crawl into people's brains and take over their minds.
The Yeerks are slowly invading Earth, and it's up to these kids to slow down the invasion while waiting on the Andalite fleet to come in as reinforcements.
It starts off as a very "wake up, go to school, save the world" plot, but as the series progresses, it gets darker and explores themes of war, grief, PTSD, and loss of innocence. And due to the nature of the morphing ability healing away injuries, it can get pretty graphic at times. (I just want to warn anyone who might find that distressing.)
The books themselves are short, at about 20-30k per book, so I'd estimate if I did a reading that lasted two hours, that might be enough to get through half a book when taking into account we do like to comment on read alouds.
So, all that being said, any interest? I'm thinking these read-alouds would start on Fridays at 9 pm, EST. (Sorry, I know that's late for UK Boarders!) but if we find a time that works later/earlier, I'm pretty flexible! Just nothing before 7pm EST for me. :)

Definitely down, if I happen to be free on whatever nights you end up doing it. by

I don't really have any "good nights" because of how all-consuming work is.
I also have the complete series, so on the rare occasions I'm able to attend, I could take up the microphone if your voice ever needs a break.
—doctorlit thinks the choose-your-own-adventures would be a fun bonus once we get through the series, since we could vote on what paths to take

I have a standing thing most Friday evenings, but I'd still be interested in popping in when I'm free. Especially later in the series, since I stopped reading somewhere in the 30s, when my source for the books stopped carrying them.

It also doesn't have to be Fridays! by

I figured Friday would be when most folks would be free—I absolutely cannot do Saturdays (D&D for me) but until I find a job, I'm free most nights of the week.
