Hi, I'm kind of a newbie here. I've read all of the original series, a lot of the spin offs, and I'm also thinking of writing my own, maybe, if I'm not to lazy. :) Probably not anytime too soon though, don't worry.
Yeah, so, ansyways, I just wanted to say hi... Hi. :D
Don't be shy, we don't bite! Or at least, most of us don't. We usually only go rabid over badfic, so you should be safe. Normally I give people hats as welcome gifts, but your username has inspired me, and therefore I shall present you with a cat-owl hybrid. It looks somewhat like a gryffin, but is smaller and has the head of an owl instead of an eagle.
Welcome a-Board, newbie. Please leave your sanity in the bin by the door, as you won't be needing it here. Along with LotR, which you mentioned, Harry Potter and the Chronicles of Narnia are both relatively popular here, so you won't be alone. Never, ever pick up anything that is supposed to be an adjective but is a noun instead. It turns out they multiply quickly. In any case, here, have a noun that was once an adjective. Don't feed it anything but pure espresso and you'll be fine.

So, since pulling random things out of my pockets is my shtick around here, have a calibrated buret (to match Lily's graduated cylinder) one half-full dropper of food coloring, and a bag of popcorn.
Wow, lots of people! :D I feel so loved! Anyway, I love animals of all shapes and sizes, though particularly the fluffy/fuzzy/cuddly/fluzzly ones. Cats and dogs in particular. And I'm a girl. You guys can call me meow... Though Mysterious Somebody from the darkest depths of Original Characterland works too. Up to you.
I'm a big reader, so I would have to choose a book fandom... Gods, so much to choose from... Ah, Well, I would have to pick Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. This is always subject to change, of course (Gone with the Wind was MAGNIFICENT and I've just started in on LOTR, which seems to be a big favorite around here...). As for TV, I would go with my favorite show, Criminal Minds. No, I'm not a crazy obsessive Reid fangirl... Or, at least I'm not crazy and obsessive... ;)
I read all the Constitution and stuff, don't worry. I'll be good... Well, I'll try. Just kidding! Or am I?
I'm a pretty terrible writer, or at least in my view; too much dialogue, not enough description. But I may write when I'm better, just so that I can send a 5'3 ginger girl with glasses and a knife after Mary Sues. Fun!
