Is the person who went by RosieAzrael around 2011 still here? Is anyone still in contact them, if not?
I really want to thank them for something they did back then and tell them how their investment of time has influenced real lives for the better.
(I'm hoping the serious business tag doesn't solely mean drama. I'm not coming for drama. I owe them a debt that the least I can do for it is express gratitude.)
Hey Miah! Nice to see you around! I exist, I have been mostly gone but occasionally pop unto the discord like Doc said.
Sorry, I stopped checking for replies. My computer completely died on me, and I just now finally got the husband talked into letting me use his.
So, years ago, you were very patient with me, explaining what trans is, so much about LGBT issues and what terms are. I knew basically nothing back then, and you were very kind to educate me. I know that sort of thing isn't incumbent on LGBT folks to do. My kids were 11, 10, and 3 back then, and I turned around and shared this info with them, and that I was good with any and all of this. And it stopped me from saying a lot of stupid stuff out of ignorance.
Now my kids are 21, 20, and 13. The oldest is aroace. The middle is pan and exploring gender, and the youngest is bi. And because you spent that time with me they never had to wonder what was 'wrong' with them or whether I'd accept them. I think often about how much you changed the course of my life and theirs, and wanted to thank you and let you know that your investment of time paid off spectacularly.
Thank you.
They popped into Discord briefly a few months ago, but haven't been active otherwise, I don't think. I sent a DM linking here; hopefully they'll see!
(And always good to hear from you too, Miah! How be you?)

I'm doing well. Hanging out and writing in The Witcher Fandom the last couple of years. Hopefully all goodfic, lol. I started a novel as part of an original works group of friends. At only 275 words per day, you'll have over 100k by the end of the year. It's like a New Year's resolution. We'll see if it lasts longer than most of those do.
How have you been?
Still surviving at the zoo, still trying to wring as much free time out of each week as possible! (While still getting enough sleep, of course.)
Can't wait for your novel to get published so I can read it!
—doctorlit is totally getting enough sleep, of course
