This was a lot of fun. I didn't find it hard to follow at all. Thalia's mental asides are entertaining and do, in fact, have a kind of logic to them. That's the thing about insane people: everything makes sense to them, even if it doesn't to anyone else. The trick is to work out how. ^_^
I now have a desperate need to know why there's an urple kraken in their wall. I'm not sure I actually want to find out, though. It might spoil it. Either way, I look forward to part two!

This is extremely funny! I think Thalia's point of view is hilarious fun to read in; no need to apologize at all! She really has the manic tone of a classic PPC agent down.
I'm curious to learn more about Fred, too! I wonder how it got there, and who boarded it up? And whether Doom will survive his two roommates?

That was a great interlude, and the monster actually showing up was an unexpected (and very PPC) twist.
If it helps, the narrative was rather comprehensible, though that might be because my brain is good at bouncing between topics.

I enjoyed the twist on the 'wacky partner comes up with ludicrous theory' concept.

It's not linked atm? But the text looks linky and acts linky without sending me anywhere. Huh.
