...waaaaaaaaat.
I was walking through the 'net one day...
...When I bumped into the PPC along the way.
Hello, fair people of human, elven, dwarven, and whatever-you-are-en descent! 'Tis I, everybody's favorite Teh Specs! (I didn't spell that wrong. My full internet name is Teh Almighty and Glorious Specs of Poor Sightedness. But that doesn't apply here!)
So, I was perusing some websites once upon a three years ago and came across one called TV Tropes, wherein I discovered the PPC. It was not until quite some time later that I wanted to join, but alas - I possess naught but a cell phone!
It is extraordinarily hard to internet on my phone, so you can imagine the amount of difficulty I had in writing this note.
Nonetheless, I will endeavor to not become a lurker like I usually tend to do.
Also, it was totally KittyNoodles' fault that you are now forced to put up with me, so righteous eggings are indeed in order.
Again, hallo!
Welcome a-Board, newbie of some relation to sort-of-newbie KittyNoodles. I feel somewhat belated in posting this, but I think that's just because of the posting spree you went on while I was away doing stuff in places.
A few links I feel I should point you towards would be the the ones for the Constitution, the IRC, and the Wiki, up top. The Constitution contains pretty much all of the rules for our community and should be worshiped with the utmost piety (unless of course you know how to detect a joke, in which case just follow the rules). I see you said that IRCs aren't really your thing, but it's a good place to go if you just want to talk or share random links like you've been doing above. The Wiki is a place for information on basically everything. If you ever have a question, the Wiki is the first place to go, especially about stuff like Permission and other procedures. Other than that, this is the Board where I lurk most of the time. Beware of carnivorous plants.
So to end my rant and fulfill the tradition of gift giving for newbies, I hand you this bag-o-stuff that I got from my journey to the dark forests of nowhere. I includes a water gun, an oar, and a Italian-English dictionary. Enjoy!
I shall clarify a few points for you, sir/madam/creature of mystical origins.
1. I just joined yesterday, so you're not too late.
2. KittyNoodles is of familial relations. (siblings, that is.)
3. I always go on posting sprees when I'm a newb on a forum, sorry. (that and I have nothing else to do and prefer to be prompt in my responses.)
4. I shall take your bag, AND OPEN IT.
5. I see what you did there
6. I should be cutting back on the random links a tad, don't worry.
7. Carnivorous plants are nice people...
Hi! Have some fudge!
OH MAH GAWD FUUUUDGE
Welcome to the PPC! Seeing as you like specs, have a pair of light moonglasses to commemorate the event!
If I put these on, will the moon explode?
Because I have an unfortunate side effect where when I take my specs off, everything explodes.
Heyooo, newbie! -tosses cylinder- You can measure things with it! Have fun!
Or, I can be all Old Snake and roll around in it!
*wherein Teh Specs rolls around in the cylinder.*
Oh, that was a bad id-blglguuurlgluuuuueeeaaaaag!
Here, have a cookie!
I'm shiny because I'm made of Explodium!
Don't ask how that works...
OHMAHGAWDCOOKIE
Since I'm currently running around fanfiction, I'm going to hand the uncannonical and very unusual Firebolt 2006 I just found off to you. It may induce schizophrenia, I'm not sure, but I find myself afraid of flying.
That's okay. If I combine this with my Specs Co. Specs Safety Approved Perfectly Safe Device, it should-
[We're sorry, the user you are trying to reach has been disintegrated. Please authenticate reactivation code 5P3C5-001-503 and try again.]
Welcome to the PPC, Specs. Have a crate of Bleepka, you might need it. Also, have you come by the IRC yet? Me don't bite, honest!
Not much of an IRC-er. Really impractical too, with my cell phone being my only keyboard.
But the Bleepka is greatly appreciated. Believe me, if I don't end up slamming it back at the end of the week, Serious!Me (a.k.a. The Creator, as I call myself on deviantart) most certainly will.
Glad to meet you, SpecstacularSC! I hope you'll have a lovely time here. (Glad to see anotehr LOTR fan, too. :D )
I hereby direct you to please read our Constitution if you have not done so already, a link to which can be found at the top of the Board, so's you know the general do's and dont's of our community. Other than that, hang around, chat, and generally enjoy yourself. :)
Have a bag of pebbles and a Random Shiny Object, they always come in handy.
*Specs uses Discover Item on Random Shiny Object.
It is still a Random Shiny Object.
Specs gained 5 skill points in APPRAISAL!*
Yussss!
And pebbles are so much fun to bug Sues with. I might have accidentally given one a minor concussion. But it was a Sue I wrote, so it's all good.
That was not supposed to sound so ... alien.
Anyway, what fandoms are you part of?
Also, as a gift have a pack of cans of CAFfine. Guaranteed to contain the most hyper of Cute Animal Friends.*
*SingingTheThunder will not be held responsible for side effects such as excessive singing and bouncing off the walls.
Please refer to my reply to KittyNoodles for more information.
Also YAAAAAAAAAY
...Is a drink made of CAFs. Not a can stuffed with cute bunnies. Just so you know. :)
...waaaaaaaaat.
Whoops. Forgot, I'm not on YouTube.
Don't get me egged!
Also, as is customary, I present thee with an egg. A silver egg, because the golden one was taken already.
What are your fandoms, dear brother?
I an a jack of many fandoms - I know many, but am fluent in none.
I know enough to try and fudge my way through Lord of the Rings. I'm rather decent with Tales of Vesperia (yes, there is a fandom!), and if I look smart, I can pass as knowledgeable in regards to Legend of Zelda.
Outside of that, I have never played enough Final Fantasy games to be fluent in any of them, I only just recently discovered Lost Odyssey, and Skyrim has too many routes for me to map out by myself.
Hook your characters up with mine. We'll kill some Sues. I'll teach you the ways of the canon.
Does that entail as much building hopping as Assassin's Creed?
I failed my initiation because of that.
