I curse in rot13 nine times out of ten. My characters are more interesting lol.
My "oh my God" is "oh my gods!" I will occasionally say "In Odin's name!" I'm not much more creative than that lol.

With Winfrey, I tend to use a very Asimov-inspired (Stars! Galaxy!) swear set (I am aware that in her home canon, people do not swear like this and in English translation it's more like 'Geez`, but I can wiggle away here - perhaps she speaks a regional dialect). With Noman, he's usually cut off before he can complete the swear.
Winfrey: "SWEET GALAXY, WHAT IS THAT!?"
Noman: "SON OF A-"
[BEEEEEEEEP]
The question is: how does your character's backstory and home continuum play into things?

Which mostly boils down to “flibbergibbit”, “curses!”, [profanity], and “Canon!” So stuff like “Oh, flibbergibbit!” “Curses!” “You [profanity]ing piece of [profanity] and “Thank Canon for that!”
I think you can see what words they’re euphemisms for. ;)
No reason “Smauging” is bad, though.
