...Or well, not precisely entirely up, but the first chapter is posted and the whole thing is written, just in the process of being beta'd. Every three days there'll be an update until the whole thing is actually there. I won't post every time a new chapter is up, since I don't want to spam the Board.
The Whitby Horror on Ao3.
Summary: Being part of the Usual Ten means you develop a knack for stories... Having just finished her first mission (well, she did her part) Cassie tries to familiarise herself with her new role as Colombina while at the same time practicing for her dream role, and also be the best possible maid of honour for her best friend’s wedding. Piece of cake! But as soon as the wedding plans are put in motion, something calls to her... Something dark and dangerous, coming from the quaint seaside town where Rose wants to get married.
But what can possibly be so bad about Whitby?
I posted the first installment of The Usual Ten last year, and at that point I was deeply invested in the second one, but it took a while to finish. It kind of... ballooned in scope. It didn't start out having chapters. If you enjoyed the first installment then you might like this one too! And if you haven't read the first one then you can!
/Ekwy, wishing you all a good weekend
A couple days ago. I had to read the first one too, but. . .
I really liked it. Cassie is a fun character. I like that the Usual Ten kinda resemble the PPC but are clearly different. Unless Ben’s boss is a sentient flower.
I’m looking forward to seeing more of the characters and the world.

Ben's boss is not a sentient flower. At least... to my knowledge. Okay, I double-checked, they're definitely not. But I could make a joke about it at some point, thanks for that idea!
Thank you for reading and commenting!

I missed the first, and am now solidly hooked! I love meta-narrative fiction, and the Usual Ten is (are?) delightful. Cassie has all my sympathies- she's way deeper into the story than she thinks, and the role she's been aimed at is going to be rough.
Looking forward to the next chapter!
Am I already 2000+ words into a synopsis for a third installment? Sure am! =D
