I really liked the dialogue about the gown—I couldn’t help but smile at that. I wonder—did you write the DORKS bit because of our recent discussion about it?

In which we leave mecha dogfighting aside to have a couple of more down-to-Earth investigations. Sergio manages to get dragged into a murder mistery by an old friend of his, and then the whole gang gets involved in the mistery of no one being able to die anymore in Venice.
From now on, releases will be on AO3 only as it keeps things easier on my end.
Also up on AO3, in which Constance and Jasmine try to find a quick solution to the end of the world. Spoilers: they don't.

I think that was Aziraphale in the second chapter, since Constance and Jasmine find his store later?
—doctorlit had such a busy weekend, he never bothered to turn his computer on, but now he is very far behind on the Board
Aziraphale (spoilers?) is not in the story, but his shop is enough of a character that both the book and show of Good Omens treat its death as a tragic moment. I will admit it probably made spotting the pattern trickier than it needed to be. :D

I actually wrote this chapter over a year ago... and then again sometime this spring after the first version got wiped. I wouldn't be surprised if the DORKS line came in after some kind of discussion, though - it's not a piece of kit I normally think about, so something must have brought it to mind.

It was very intriguing—the murder mystery was quite different, and I’m very curious to see how the immortality thing goes.
Oh, and that facepalm picture—just the best!
