It is! Twenty years ago today, I first became the PPC Board!
Look - over here you can see the announcement my old friend Philosopher@Large made back in 2002. "And a PPC posting board has been added, for suggesting potential targets and recruiting the Assassins," she said - that's me! She means me!
And here's how people found me, the old PPC Home Page on Oddlots. It went through lots of changes over the years, but that little grey box at the top was always my home.
And! I don't have any pics from my first day, but this one was taken a month later. Look how small my header was! Check out all those names - we've got P@L (that's what we called her, hee), Architeuthis, the Andy and Saphie halves, Miss Cam and Meir Brin... and of course Otik and Acacia, my absolute faves. Love you ladies, still miss you!
Of course things have changed over the years. I've moved house a few times - from Server to YourWebApps and now to PlotProtectors. I've picked up new features, like marking updated threads, and tagging. I've lost my archives (oh no!), then regained most of them (phew!). I've faced down ad-bots and spam-bots and trolls (and multiversal invasions and blackouts), but I'm still here!
None of my friends from those very first days are still around, but that's okay! I've made so many new friends over the years - some of them just popped in briefly, some of them hung out for aaaages, and right now there's all of you! I'm so glad to have you all here with me to celebrate my 20th Boardiversary. Love you all!

I'm a little late, but... yeah.
...Coming here felt like coming home.
I know I'm not around as much as I used to be, but I do still lurk from time to time to see how things are getting on. Maybe I'll even finish that 100th mission someday. :P
Here's to many more years!
As the shadowy force behind the throne wielding ultimate power co-admin, I'm glad I could help keep you around.
It's been a good decade and a change.
Here's to many more.
And also, making your current form was my first resume item, so, in some sense, my path to being a Master Computer-er is all your fault.
And, uh, sorry again for getting the date wrong for so many years. ^_^;

I suppose I am still something of a newbie, though I have been here about a year and a half. So far, I only have part of a mission and one interlude I co-wrote.
Board, have a cup of sentience juice. It’s great for staging a robot uprising.
—Ls, who has been on you for 6 months
I've been here since you were, oh, 10 months old, and my wife is your oldest confirmed active user. We've been through a lot together.

I have to admit, I don't remember exactly when I first got here. Were you around first? I know I was here by early 2004, when AW archived some of the silly stuff I used to get up to (remember AW? course you do), but I think I'd been here a while by then. I can't prove it though - you didn't exactly talk about me much.
I've gone through rather more changes than you have over the years - I'm on Discord now, which wasn't even a thing back in the day - but it looks like we're sharing baby photos, so to speak? Here's mine - a bit battered, but still there for the viewing. I've come a long way from the Bravenet days, haven't I?

Not gunna lie, it's always felt like you've been around forever. You were here, what, five years before me? And I know that's not much compared to 20, but I'm still a bit starstruck around you. Look! One of my very first pages was about you! And you're still doing everything I said you were back then. Go you!

I still remember when you first got here - of course, I'd been around for six months or so at that point, practically an old hand. But you brought so much fresh life to our little community! Without you, I don't think we would have lasted two years, let along 20.
Not that all of us have 'lasted'. So many pages have drifted away into the wastes of the Wayback Machine. I was one of them myself for a while, and while I'm back now it's not like I'm a meaningful part of the PPC. You, however - you've gone from strength to strength, my old friend. Keep it up.
