The house? Large. The children? Small. The mystery? Trivial. The stakes? Maybe marginally higher, if you squint.

One thing I'm not clear on: When does Daphne put the whole picture together? It can't be before she finds the sticky stick, but it can't be after Jasmine calls Tanfin out, right? I just can't pin down the location of her "aha" moment, so I'm not sure how Oleander knows that she knew.
As said on AO3, though, I will never not enjoy these. ^_^

Daffy comes up with a working hypothesis in the computer room: someone is throwing or shooting something at the house. She takes Ol downstairs, and finds a stick and feathers: a (shoddy) arrow, proof of her theory. She was specifically looking for a missile weapon, which is why "a stick" was even something that caught her eye. She was trying to explain to Jasmine ("I suppose, but--") when another thok made the explanation moot.

(and yeah, someone using the house as an archery target does feel plausible)

Cute and fun, as always. I'm impressed with the variety of mysteries you've come up with for Daphne to solve in such a mundane, suburban environment. Even as simple and low-stakes as they are, I don't think I could have come up with so many ideas. Then again, being a work addict, my home is pretty much a room to store stuff and sleep in, so . . . I bet having an actual household with kids is a lot more active!

My favourite line was at the very end, though. Yes, Daphne, that's unfortunately the kind of home you have! Not that is it is a bad thing... so far, at least.
