There were 130 files (all but one of them images) spread over 90 posts, which isn't nearly as many as I thought there'd be. I haven't made them publicly available, but I did upload them to plotprotectors.org, along with a spreadsheet of post ID, subject, author, body, the URL that was detected, and the filename I used for it.

This means the data itself is safe and we can figure out what to do with it later.

Also, Linstar, since you mentioned it, uploading images to the Board is something it might make sense to do eventually, but I've got much chaos (yay moving, and job, and so on) so who knows when/if it'll actually get done.

I'm not sure if it would be within Imgur's TOS to use it for collective PPC hosting, though.

I'm also not sure about doing so if permission from the original poster can't be obtained. Personally I'm all for preserving things for posterity*, but I anticipate someone raising this point eventually, and it's worth considering.

* To which end, if there's a use for any image on the wiki, it could be put there--but only in a clear case of it being fair use and not violating Fandom's TOS, of course.

I would definitely be on board with that. Especially if I could just upload pictures to the Board!

I think archiving them in a subdirectory on the Board would be nice if there's the space for it. I've also been using Squidge Images and Tumblr as hosting sites, but I would prefer to keep the pictures not that easily viewable by internet randos...
