It is canon between a friend of mine and me that my agents have been known to hide in her world when they think they’ve earned a vacation. Her world isn’t published yet, therefore I haven’t given details, other then that the characters of her world are fluffy animals (like Redwall).

--a Hobbit fanfic that I wrote back in 2015. They showed up as elvish extras in Rivendell. So it's been done, absolutely.
(Granted, not presuming that said fanfic is "goodfic", of course, but I should hope it's not badfic, either :'D)

I know agents who have gone on vacation have gone to OFUs (as Jay and Acacia did), or to visit a given continuum. As far as I can tell, vacation is pretty rare (note the four references) and doesn't seem to have occurred at all recently, that we know of.

I'm pretty sure more than two vacation stories exist, but it's a sort of granular data that we've historically been lax at capturing on the wiki, cuz capturing data isn't really a priority for most people. {= )
