Glad to hear you're a big novel reader. From what I've gathered, that'll be a good help here. This place should amuse you until you get the nerve to get back to reading another book.

Anyway, I feel like I know so little about you... it's making me hard to think of a meaningful gift because of that. Please tell us more about yourself while I muse about gifts that I haven't given yet. -

About me. Hmm. Where to begin? I love books. Honestly, place a book larger then a hundred pages, I'll probably read it - good or not - but I haven't read any fiction like The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter lately. I've mainly been struggling through books like The Illiad and Tale of Two Cities. Now that I have finished those, though, I have been starved for entertainment. Then, Lo and Behold, here is a site that can provide such fun. I look forward to being apart of this community.

I've read the Odyssey several times, but always found the Iliad harder to get into. I think part of my problem is that I've had trouble finding a translation of the Iliad that I like -- when I know it was written as poetry, block-o-text prose translation doesn't cut it.

In terms of loving books that is. I admire your courage in tackling The Illiad, I was dying when I had to read The Odyssey for class. As a token of that courage and for the fact that you haven't read fiction/fantasy in a while I shall give you the Ultimate Volume of Fairy Tales*! Each time you open it it awards you with a new fairy tale or other fantasy story.
*That's "tales" mind you. Fairies don't usually have tails and when they do it's a sensitive issue. -

Hi there, and welcome to the PPC Board-and-wider-community. As you can see, I'm Huinesoron - I've been here since around the Triassic Era, and I'm still pretty much only a Lord of the Rings fan. I'm also slightly crazy (it helps, in this place).
You, I can see, am blurfsmurf - but what else is there to know about you? How'd you find us (was it the pixies? Curse those meddling pixies!)? Do you read or write fanfiction - and what fandoms? Have you read many of the PPC's stories? And, perhaps most importantly of all, [insert really pertinent question here]?

No. It wasn't the pixies. It was the little birds. They called themselves the "OFU's". From that, I believe you should be able to discern the answer to your following question. As for your final question, who ever said I was pertinent?
