There's tons of free webhosts out there. The quality varies, though. Just go and ask Google, you'll be pelted. I'm using this one.

LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, and GoogleDocs would be the three easiest, I think.
If you are into making your own site, Tripod might be the way to go.
