On Permission (A Handy Tool) by

Over the past few weeks, I've been collaborating with my fellow
hat-wearersPermission Givers to try and make the whole Getting Permission thing a bit more structured - that is, to help you, as a new writer, determine whether you're ready to apply for Permission. Because seriously, the only answer we ever give is 'Have you been here a month? Well, we don't really care about that except when we do...'
(In case you can't tell, that's a joke. :P I know a lot of helpful things are said in every 'I'm thinking of applying for Permission' thread)
So! Without further ado, allow me to present the vegetable of our labours (it's like a fruit, only not so much):
The PPC Permission Self-Check
This is an entirely voluntary self-check form designed to help you answer the age-old question: Am I Ready To Write PPC? It's presented as a GoogleDocs survey, but all the questions are optional, and you don't even have to hit submit. There's also no slot for your name. ;)
But the questions are quite hard. They're thinky questions - lots of big empty boxes for you to write in. :P They cover everything from concrit to characterisation to looking things up on the Wiki - and really, you should be able to at least take a stab at every single question. There are, including bonus questions (they're the fun ones ;)) and the record-keeping at the end, 44 of the beggars - so it might take you a while.
But it'll help. Promise.
hS
(It's already been checked and approved by several PGs, but if anyone can spot any non-deliberate mistakes, or anything that needs to be clarified - please say. ~hS) -

Wow, this is actually really nice! Does this actually get sent anywhere when I hit "submit," or is it purely a mockup to help the applicant see the sort of things we're looking for?

It gets saved, yes. by

But I'm the only person who can see it, and of course a) no usernames are recorded, b) you don't have to Submit at all, and c) GDocs spreadsheets are so badly formatted it would take a very good reason for me to try and read them. :P

Well, I don't actually consider myself ready to request Permission, mainly due to a lack of dedication. And I'm not sure how good my 'constructive criticism' was for the Royal Fanfiction Academy of Equestria since I didn't really get into characterizations or anything, but it was still there. And heck if I know how long I've been here, just vaguely around one year.
The test was a nice exercise, though. I just hope I didn't embarrass myself on the characterization question with the SO.
(insert self-criticizing rambling here) -
I'm glad I wasn't alone in having some trouble with that one by

I could see the SO saying two of the three options depending on the circumstances, but there's no context, so it was sorta hard to decide between them.

I had the exact same problem. (nm) by

If the questions didn't make you think, they wouldn't be worth answering.
(For that question, as for several others, there is no 'right' answer - it's about whether you have the ability to reason one out based on your understanding of the SO)

Fun! I know I already have permission, but it was good to do this.

I believe you asked the same question twice on the page called "Community Spirit: Let's All Get Along". The question in question is "Have you provided constructive criticism to a PPCer?" which appears twice, consecutively.
Other than that, I think it looks quite nice and, more importantly, useful. I especially approve of the bonus questions.
To you and your team, well done.

Should you maybe put it on the Wiki, in some place that's easily accessible for people? And post it on multiple places?
Well, in addition to adding it wherever you're going to put it, of course. -
What, you mean... not just post it once and forget? by

Wow, that idea... that has shattered my whole perception of the world...
... :P I was waiting until people had pointed out the various inevitable mistakes/told me I'm an idiot before I went edit-tastic.
