PPC Yearly Survey!
It is that time of year again, wherein I run a survey of everyone who is part of the PPC! This year's survey is more comphrensive and more detailed than ever, so that it is that much less terrible!
As a reminder, please make sure to read through it clearly, and be honest with your responses!
As an additional note, make sure that you have time enough to answer!
Click here to start the survey!
For those of you who are curious as to the results from last year, have no worries! Those results are now available for viewing as well!
The summary responses- which as often as not have handy charts and graphs- are here.
The spreadsheet itself with the detailed responses everyone gave here here. -

You could also ask how often people revise their work: Do they go back and tweak a lot or, once it's posted, do they never so much as change a comma?

Options I would have picked were they available:
Single! Hurrah!
(Do you use betas?) Yes, I usually have another person read over my fics before publishing. [but usually just one, though the person varies] -

I realized after I had finished it that I read one of the 'why' questions as a 'what' question, so, uh, yeah. It'll be obvious which one when you look at the results.

I answered primarily on a 'right now or in recent memory' basis. For instance, I used to read at least three books a week, sometimes more than one in a day, and for all I know I could decide to pick up that habit again tomorrow. Or perhaps I'll decide to finish one of my fanfics and get it beta'd. Who knows?
I also stopped being serious when I got to 'Favorite Pairing' and 'Lust Object', in case it wasn't clear. -

...Why is there no 'do you go to college' option? Or does that already count under 'Vocational/Technical School'?

It depends on what, honestly. Colleges tend to either be vocational/technical schools or 'associate's degree'. If it's a vocational/tech degree/certification/what have you thing you're doing, go with the vocational/tech school answer.
If you're going for a proper associate's degree- the sort that is a stepping stone for getting a full bachelor's- go with that answer. -

Do NOT put your fandoms in a 'one per line' list!
Use commas, for the love of things!

But what if I can't remember when I first joined up?
And in genres that I write, cam I include the stuff I want to write? -

Minor quibble. by

How many books do you read can be fictoin or non-fiction. Since I'm a history major, the number of books I read is significantly higher than the amount of original fiction I read. (Although there is some crossover.)

It would be handy if there were more "Don't know" options. I have absolutely no idea how many pieces of original fiction I write per year. I had to do a guesstimate.
Also, according to the Previous Results page, nobody had tried to get Permission and been denied, but eight people had been denied for Other reasons. -

You've got a bug in there somewhere - it asked me why I hadn't read TOS, and when I tried to 'Back' out, kept giving me error messages.
