Makes it less tedious if we share the work load. :)
So we're done evaluating all the pages, and we even presented a nice fancy list of what we were doing with each Sue. Now some questions arise.
1. What are we going to do with actual deletion?
Neshomeh had a good idea on that, and I'd like to see what the rest of the community thinks of that.
2. What are we going to do with the pages that need work?
That's an excellent question, to which I have no answer. Tawaki at least is still around; perhaps he should work on improving the ones of his that need work? Other than that, if a page we're keeping has no link, and we have a link, that should probably be added. Still, I don't really know what to do with the pages that need improvement whose creators are no longer active.
3. What are we going to do about adding pages in the future?
Obviously, the community needs to weigh in on this one. There are a few options; either strict, clear rules, some kind of deciding body, or perhaps a simple peer nomination process. I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of, and I'd love suggestions. A poll should probably be created to vote on this issue.
...I'm going to start adding the delete template to Sue pages up for deletion. Anyone else who wanted to could do so as well, assuming there are no objections.
Well, I think I'm done. It might be a good idea if someone went through and double checked the stuff I did. Also, some spots I replaced the Sue links with links to the mission they're from, but I'm not sure if that's always necessary.

In terms of the author and there being a clear nomination period that takes place well after the mission with the Sue or Stu in question. If people can't remember the mission after two months, or bring it up as a go-to, without you as the writer plugging it, it really isn't that special.
I'd also further that people involved with the mission itself not be able to nominate- that is, if you're the beta or you contributed by having one of your agents help, you cannot nominate the mission.
1) I'd go with Neshomeh's plan.
2) I should have time to help rewrite a few of those pages.
3) I think a committee with clear guidelines would be the simplest. Voting here on the Board could also work, but might push other threads too far down the page.
If we go with voting, I would suggest that someone other than the mission author make the initial nomination.
... Obviously I like my own suggestion for the deletion process. >.> I'm also still willing to take a hand in re-writing. I'll volunteer specifically for the Balrog Sue (I can take care of renaming the article at the same time), and also Alumia and Sairalinde, unless there are objections.
For adding pages in the future, I like the idea of peer nomination and/or a committee, but I'd also suggest a built-in delay. For instance, if people (not including the mission's author(s), for obvious reasons) are still talking about a particular Sue X months later, that suggests it was outstanding enough to have some impact and stick in people's minds beyond the end of the mission. It might also go some length to deterring gimmicks for gimmicks' sake just to get a page, since no gimmicky thing will guarantee that people are impacted enough to talk about it after a period of time. If nobody's talking, then perhaps that Sue wasn't such a big deal after all, and it won't hurt PPC posterity to not take up wiki space with it.
For a period of delay, my immediate thought is at least two months. That's more than enough to knock links off the Board and the wiki front page, providing for a test of group memory rather than group ability to spot links.

Well, let's go with this.
1. Frankly, I'm surprised someone hasn't started doing that already, so yeah.
2. Hm... Well, you got me there. I'm not sure myself, so...
3. Adding pages in the future... Well, this is of special interest since I already mentioned the Subject 23 page to you and EileenAlphabet. So... I say we get a small group of people who can decide by votes what is or isn't speshul. Maybe even set up a kind of thing where if someone forwards an e-mail to this panel, we can vote on whether or not we think this Stu/Sue is speshul or not. But I'm open to other ideas.
