Blackouts and meatloaf monsters and badfic, oh my!
Sorry for vanishing for so long. Getting ready for Costume Con took a lot more time than I'd planned, partly because the person who was going to team up with me for a doll costume entry got sick and had to bow out.
I won three ribbons, though, which is better than I'd expected. Member's Choice in the doll contest for "Bridezilla", and two awards for my Historical Masquerade entry "Simple Gifts: Shaker Sister, circa 1820" (Best Research in the Documentation category, and Most Authentic in the Presentation category).
So what's been going on?
I joined about a month ago, and I just thought I'd say hello and welcome back. Oh, and congratulations!

Hi, have some belated welcome fudge!
Blackouts and meatloaf monsters and badfic, oh my!
You're back!
*tackles*
It's been way too long, man! How've you been?
Doing pretty good, though I've got a lot to catch up on in real life. This was my first time competing in Historical, and I hadn't realized just how much time all that handsewing was going to take. (And I didn't even handsew the whole thing.) Next time I do a Historical, I'm going to think hard about picking an era after the invention of the sewing machine ;) . :: looks at the mess her apartment became after months of using free time to sew instead of clean ::
I've got a half-finished mission that I need to get completely finished. We're going into overtime season at work, but I should have time for writing between customers.
And welcome back. I think SeaTurtle covered all the news. {= )

Nice to see you again! Now, on to business:
In HQ, there was a big blackout with monsters everywhere, but the Doctor showed up and saved everyone.
The Multiverse Monitor is up and running again, complete with a disgruntled Cluedo-playing Dalek agent.
hS gave us another glimpse into the PPC's future, but that might turn out to be an AU after all.
