It's pretty much exactly the same as LiveJournal, only less evil.

There's been some awesome PPC canon created through RP before--including some missions, 'fics that are part of some of the Major Events, and just plain fun and character development. Sometimes it can be hard to figure out where to go to just do some spontaneous RP with Agents, just to see where it'll go.
Well, now we've got a place! Over at Dreamwidth we now have PPC Headquarters.
Whether it's just feeling like having your Agents run around Headquarters or to test out that Agent giving you ideabunnies at the most inconvenient times, PPCHQ is the place to go. The Constitution applies, and basic rules of RP such as "no godmodding."
So come on over, make an account for your Agent(s), and have some hijinx. If you're new to this kind of RP and have any questions, there are plenty of us who can answer questions.
Also: Yay, RP comm for HQ!
(Yeah, my eloquence broke down. There's a quota.)
Looks like it's gonna be fun. I've only got one journal for a character right now, but the others will doubtless follow soon . . . :D Should be pretty obvious which one's mine.
Other than that, I don't really have any experience with Dreamwidth. How does that work there?
Join the comm; so we can keep track of who is there.
If you see, on the main page for the comm, there's one post there, mine, with three comments at the moment.
If you want to reply to that one, click on it, reply to that one on its page. Otherwise post a new entry to the comm to start an entirely different RP!
If you notice, you can tag the posts, so you can add who is involved and where. For example, the one I posted has a tag of 'Cafeteria'.
The format when you post is rather similar to how it is on the board, where things can split and stack and so on.
So rather quite like the RPs we have done here!
This is just to do casual RP all the time instead of waiting for special events to occur on the board in some way or another.
I think the only other thing to add is that you need to have an account name to post with. That's what you join the comm with.
Oh, and with the entry tags: the site should either help you choose already-existing tags, or you can make your own. Either works.
It's pretty much exactly the same as LiveJournal, only less evil.

I have no experience with that either. Also, LJ has evil coding?
They did a design change that actively and aggressively gives people headaches and eyestrain. And laughed at the userbase over their complaints about it.
I was originally gonna revive the old comm on LJ, but they did that, so decided to instead start a new comm on DW.
And there's my bitchy computer again...gimme a minute...
*grabs sledgehammer*
Got it to work! From what I can see it could use more people! *joins in*
