Well, here goes nothing...

Gaspard was dragged along by his parents when they both joined the PPC. His spare time being devoted to reading books, playing games, and learning more about each ‘verse, he figured he could assist the Canon Protection Initiative to the best of his ability. He has been shuffled around several departments already, going from DoSAT to Floaters to DMS to finally be placed in Intelligence, where he is currently following an internship. He is very by-the-book, thus rather apprehensive when presented with a new situation. He loves logic to death, which makes it all the more funny to observe his reactions when reading badfic. Gaspard is not insane, but a steady stream of stupidity has already started to take its toll on his brain.
Also featuring his two parents, who will mostly stay in the background:
Frédéric De Grasse, FicPsych nurse. 50 year old Chinese man, tall, angular features, and short greying hair.
Nicole Roy, Medical nurse. 48 year old Frenchwoman, short, slightly round, and long brown-grey hair tied into a bun.
Their living quarters are somewhere within Section 31’s C-unit.

Congratulations! Your piece was really good, and I can't wait to read the mission.
In the RP, I was excited to see that Frédéric was in FicPsych, and I'm glad that there will be a new nurse in the department. ^^ I'm curious about when exactly the family joined up, since this, set in 2008, pretty much only contains characters that had names at the time. Did your guys join after that?
Also, feel free to put up a little bio of Frédéric <a href="http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/FicPsychPersonnel">here.
I'm thinking of adding another section for each nurse's style (e.g., Mirrad is more spiritual, Elms kinda works like a barman or that good buddy you tell things over beer, Jenni gets into people's heads and pokes buttons, etc.), so I'm curious about how he works, and how he'll get along with everyone else.
... I'm super excited. ^_^
~Neshomeh, who hasn't seen a new FicPsych agent with a name and everything that wasn't hers since Nurse Barker, and his writer hasn't been around for a while.
...but I guess everyone deserves good characterization, right? I was thinking of portraying Frédéric as a highly mechanical character: very clinical, one case at the time. His sessions would go something along the lines of see problem, establish solution, execute, reformulate if failed, repeat until successful. I'd say he's a friendly guy but very absorbed in his work.
As for when the family moved into HQ, I'd say they joined fairly recently, say several months ago.
I gotta start reading the "How-to-Edit" page. The prospect of modifying the wiki is intimidating, to say the least.
You can use the Sandbox page to mess around and get a feel for things, and otherwise you can't go wrong with cutting and pasting code that does what you want done (if you're using the source view, that is—there's also a visual mode that's supposed to be more user-friendly, and you can switch between the two). Anyway, even if you make a mistake, it can always be fixed. {= )
... Frédéric is going to have an interesting time. {X D The first story ever set in FicPsych set the tone around there as pretty hectic, so I've made my nurses an eccentric lot with about a teaspoon and a half of formal psychology training between them. I figure they're largely isolated from the rest of HQ, so they're pretty close and not afraid to say embarrassing things about each other in front of other people (who aren't patients). They have to keep each other sane as well as the rest of HQ, so they have a need to know these things. *g* They might initially give Frédéric a bit more space because he's older, though. His quarters are probably bigger than most of 'em, too, what with the family all moving in. Nurse Jenni will be jealous.
~Neshomeh
Sure, Freddie might be older, but he's just moved in from a very sane job from World One. He's bound to know less about the treatment of badfic-induced mental diseases and convincing traumatized Agents to go back out in the field) so he might need a while to learn the ropes before joining in the madness.
I'm not very familiar with FicPsych or Medical but you seem to have the best grasp of what goes on in there. How does making Gaspard's parents shared characters sound to you?
Side note: only Frédéric and Nicole live in FicPsych. I plan to put Gaspard in RC# 22. His explanation for not being with his parents: "I'm old enough to live by myself, mom!"
Like, free-to-use, or use-with-permission? Either way, it's up to you how much you're comfortable with other people borrowing them.
That said, I've had an idea for a short FicPsych story for a while, and it would be fun to give them a role if you're okay with it. It could be some time before I get to writing it, though—certainly not until after New Year's weekend.
Right, you mentioned RC #22. I think I assumed he was staying with his parents until getting an assignment, but there's no reason that has to be the case. There's RC space aplenty. {= )
~Neshomeh
is what I had in mind. Does that sound good?
Come to think of it, most people (myself included) will loan out their characters if asked. Share and share alike, I guess.
So, I'll get in touch with you again about the story I have in mind whenever I actually start writing it. You'll probably have something of your own done and posted by then. ^_~
~Neshomeh, slow as a very slow thing.
Sample was interesting (though your format was a bit wonk near the end).
Beyond that, your additions to the RP running on the other board impressed me (and Neshomeh as well, though hopefully she doesn't mind me saying that) because you were working allusions to other things that were going on in to your posts, and gave indication that you had read up on stuff that was relevant to the background information in regards to the lounge, as well as the positions of your characters.
So, I'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on you and what you do, given you definitely have a lot of potential for improvement on top of things that are already engaging and decently written.
I'm still kinda apprehensive about presenting the inside of DoI for my first piece. Architeuthis never really expanded on the workings of Intel or the people inside so I feel I need to step up my writing to do justice to the entire Department...
She knows the DoI very well, I think, and can probably help you out more than rereading the archives a thousand times hoping for another insight. (And might be able to point you to others who can help.)
I think you've got me confused with another person, or possibly the DoI with another department. ^^; I'd pretty much just point at Archteuthis' spin-off again, and the <a href="http://ppc.wikia.com/wiki/Departmentof_Intelligence/Reports/Outline">template for Intelligence reports that hS made on the wiki.
Er, well, I guess I just did.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, though! {= D
~Neshomeh
...But who? *ponders*
(Sorry! I debated poking you on Gmail first, but then forgot to.)
hS or blame it on me.
One of the two.
It works for roughly 90% of the time. ;D
Unfortunately, I think this is one of the 10%. Although hS wrote the DIO has written many things of note, unspecified, I don't think he's done much for FicPsych.
And though there are many travesties for which the PPC might approach you with a thumbtack, *ducks*, this is not, I think, one of them.
Are you directing people to Nesh for FicPsych stuff or DoI stuff? Originally it seemed to be DoI, which she does not know well, but has since changed to FicPsych, which she does.
First of all, I love the fact that your agent will be in Intel. Those guys need all the help they can get.
The writing sample, though not humorous, was well written. I feel bad for that guy, and want to know more about his story, before and after this event.
Keep up the good work.
