So it was the tech, as usual. I think I would have gone with a bunch of pointers and IDs and... gone another kind of mad, which is not really better. And it would have been another project on my list. *derp*

I toyed around with that program too - never managed to finish a game, though. Also because I have no longer time for that and my new PC can't run it.

Some of it seems to be from that "Lost in the Multiverse" game thing. Did you make that? Or someone else?
I only had the initial idea for an RPG and had made sprites and maps, but I never found the time to finish it. Let's just say...I went mad after designing HQ. The everlooping hallways, the portalling and other random things made my head spin. Also, I had to figure out how to make generic EVERYTHING. I gave up after a while. XD
