This'll be my third year. I have only the vaguest mental outline for a plot, I don't know my characters well, and I'm still hazy on the workings of the brain-breaky time travel that will be central to the plot...

This is gonna be so much fun.

Here am I.

Working on the sequel to my winning novel from '09 (which is currently in the middle of a complete rewrite to hopefully make it worth reading - you never know!). My mental sketch consists of the opening scene and one aspect of the later plot - maybe two. Challenge is... fun?

I am a compulsive NaNoer. And by compulsive, I mean that this year I only have an extremely lose premise and haven't done any kind of preparatory work, and my lack of ideas are keeping me awake at night, and still the idea to not participate has not seriously occurred to me.

NaNoWriMo may have actually saved my life, due to a combination of catharsis and community. Those of you who are able should really try to make it to at least one event. If the NaNo people in your region are half as cool as the ones in mine you won't regret it.
