But nice job, anyway. As for the loot... I think I'll just take a carpets and some pillows.

Arthur Briggs and Lynn Gillies hunt a Belgariad Sue:

I'll get this transferred to LJ for those with Google Docs problems -- hopefully today, otherwise tomorrow.
Thanks to Cassie and Astral Void for beta-reading.
The fic produced four mini-Eldrakyn. I'm adopting Barrack, the following are available:
C'nedra
Garions
Dras Bullneck
There's also a Filing Lantern available. I'm thinking of sending him off to Personnel if no one wants him, he'd be happy working there.
Uncanon locations make for good looting.
* Four middle-eastern divans with silk cushions
* Five pseudo-Oriental carpets
* One metric buttload of silk floor pillows and drapes
* Five brass incense burners (the hang-from-chain type -- probably good for exorcism missions)
* Two brass lanterns (also the hanging type)
* One solid gold box with separate lid (internal measurement 12 inches by 10 inches)
* One cork wig block
* One solid gold saddle and bridle (standard bit)
* One set of solid gold horse armor
* One scimitar with jeweled hilt and scabbard -- will need to be sharpened if you want to use it for assassinations
Please take some of this loot off my agents' hands, they're running out of room in the RC! :)
I actually do know the canon, although it's been a while since I read the books. Used to have Silk as a lust object, beacuse he was cool and funny. So good job cleaning that one out.
Anohow, my agents would love some floor pillows and a lantern.
Is there anything Arthur and Lynn would like in return, that my agents maybe could pilfer for them?
My only problem with finding a LO in that setting is Eddings' habit of pairing up every character he can. I have problems with going after someone who's "taken". I would, however, love to get Belgarath into storyteller mode with a digital recorder running :) .
The pillows and lantern are yours.
Right now, the only weapon Lynn has is that machete. The scimitar is probably too heavy for her to use effectively until she gets some practice. If you run across an interesting melee weapon, that would be nice.
Ah, yes. But Silk wasn't paired up until the Malloreon, I think. I'll admit I was slightly miffed, when Velvet came in and just swept him off his feet.
Oh, is Lynn in luck! The mission I'm working on right now has a whole chamber filled with a non-canonical collection of every kind of sword and spear and whatever. I'll write in a looting scene.
But nice job, anyway. As for the loot... I think I'll just take a carpets and some pillows.
They're yours :)
I don't know anything about Belgariad, but you had me cringing right along with the agents at the Sue's atrociousness. An excellent story; well done!
Thanks!
Like I said before, great mission. If you don't mind, I'll grab two of those divans, one for each of my agent pairs, and a carpet.
They're yours!
I had a lot of fun reading this mission! I didn't know the canon, but it was explained well enough where I didn't feel confused at all. Also, your agents have good interplay, which is the most important part of any RC IMO.
And yeah, crazy times are had with urple prose. Look out, guys, we've got a description Sue among us!
Crazy times were had with this Sue. Don't forget to add a page for her on the Wiki: we generally like to keep a record of the Mary Sues we've slain.
Hm... Loot, you say? Hm... I think I'll go ahead and take one of the divans that you have there. Eusabius seems like he could use it to ponder puzzlements while drinking tea. ;)
The divan is yours :)
Getting agent pages up is my next project, but I'll get a page for the Sue up as well.
This was a lot of fun to read. I had never even heard of this canon, but your descriptions were detailed enough that I never felt confused by what was going on. You really got your love of the canon across to the reader. Excellent use of the Filing Lantern mid-mission, and I love the pole's arctic climate swooping in to erase wannabe!Arabia at the end (although I wish we could have seen more of that).
I noticed one typo, during the charge list:
"'You are charged with turning a servant Super-Deformed in a non-anime continua."
Continua should be continuum, since you're just talking about one here.
I'll get that corrected, thanks for the catch!
