I also have a question. What do you think would happen if you made a Molotov cocktail out of Bleeproduct? Would there be some kind of memory-wiping explosion? Also, what do you think you would call that? -

I don't remember you very well, and the people I've asked don't remember you very well either.
Your writing sample looks good, as do your agents, however.
Spend more time on the board- or in the chatroom- and ask again later, because an important aspect of asking for permission is also community participation. -

Alrighty, I see what you mean. I will try harder to become part of this community. I appreciate you checking this for me. Thanks again.

What is this I don't even.
I smell butthurt Harmony shipper. "Ron can't have Hermione! She belongs with Harry! Ron is a worthless abusive bastard! JKR is an idiot for not being able to tell that HER OWN CHARACTERS belong in a different couple!"
Dear fanfic writers: teenage angst =/= abusive relationship. Also, JKR = RIGHT. GAH. -

Just because the person disagrees with the author and is rather rude about it doesn't mean that what they write is badfic.

That term has negative connotations and is insulting and some people can find it offensive, so let's not call other people it.

I will be happy to not use it here... by

...if I have another word with the same general feeling of "somewhat immaturely overreacting to something not relaly offensive that a person *finds* offensive for some reason."
Does anyone have any suggestions? -

"Overly defensive" is a somewhat wordier way of saying the same thing. Still not exactly polite, though.

"Overreacting"? Or "defensive"? Or "overly sensitive"?

I was personally going to vouch for over-zealous or maybe obsessive. Still kind of negative, I know, but unless you're one of them it's really going to be hard to find any term to describe it that's NOT negative.

One of said -insert whatever word we decide on- fans. Basically what I'm saying is it's going to be hard to describe that kind of behavior without negative connotations unless you agree with the mindset behind said behavior.

Fair enough...
Wait, which word aren't we using again? There's two I can think of and both would make sense... -

Butthurt. Especially in conjunction with authors.

Gotcha. Just making sure, because I've known more than one HP writer who dislikes the term Harmonian.

Harmonian is, like Brangelina or whatever other thingies people are doing that with, just annoying in a vaguely "Just type both names, dammit" way. Butthurt, on the other hand, is personally insulting.

Yeah, I see your point. It's just a bit of a bad habit I picked up during a stint in the 'chan.

Read it myself; it reeks of butthurt Harmonian.
The rabid anti-Dumbledore/Anti-Snape bit is definitely the most grating part in my mind, though, mostly because it comes right out of nowhere and seems to have been rather badly shoehorned in in order to make sure the writer got off a little tirade against them. -
