I love that photo. That rainbow flag is just gorgeous.
I'm... hmm... Best I can say right now, probably "asexual demi-romantic feminine genderqueer"... which is such a huge mouthful that I just shorten it to "me". What it means is that I just don't see what the point of either sex or gender is, and would prefer to see people as people first, and sexual-orientation and gender categories second or not at all. That, and I think androgynous people are pretty hot. Yeah, you can be ace and still think people are hot. :)
I also represent one of the many (majority of, in fact) Christians who think the extremists need to get off their collective high horse and stop being ugly-minded bigots. That's my God they are using as an excuse for hatred and prejudice, when he's the personification of justice and love and truth and cares equally about everybody. It makes me feel like yelling, "How dare you!?"
I know this is late, but I just saw this topic today and had to reply, because you guys are seriously making me smile right now.

Don't ever let people tell you that what you are is wrong or offensive. Tune out the noise and know that you, as a human being, are an amazing creature that deserves respect.

I probably should come out as asexual to my family at some point. Can't today, because I won't see them until the weekend ... I'll make time to.

I hadn't run across that acronym before, but I like it.
My prayer is that one day "coming out" will be seen as something ordinary. Until then, ::gets out party horn:: one more ally for the cause.

Because no matter who you are or who you love, you are beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you that you're wrong for being who you are. Let that little light of yours shine.

Honoring those with courage. by

For me, today is a day to honor those with courage: people who have had to deal with so much more than me. I consider myself lucky. For me, my friends, my parents, my bisexuality was such a non-issue that it was never even brought up. I was never in the closet in the first place.
But for those who have had to muster the courage to not only come out, but come out kicking and fighting... I have no greater respect!
