I think it's nice to get a Sue recruited to the PPC every once in a while, because this Sue wasn't really that terrible.
Though, the one thing I found annoying for her was something I found to be really annoying. I'm personally not a fan of musical-prodigy!Sues, what with being a musician myself. It wouldn't be so bad, except that she's an overachiver!Sue to a really egregious extent. I'm not sure her author realizes just how difficult it is to find time to practice so many instruments, and how it's pretty much impossible to master them all if you're playing that many. Yeah, we have some precedents who tried to do it (*coughPaulHindemithcough*), but he never really mastered any of the extra instruments.
At least she's college age, though, so that whole 'being good enough to get into Harvard' thing is at least somewhat plausible for at least one of her instruments. I would've had a conniption if she was 12 years old, for the same reason that I absolutely cannot stand August Rush.
Overall, fun mission! -

She smiled in return and said, "Ciao, Professore." (Hello, Professor.)
“Doesn't 'ciao' mean 'goodbye?'” Lee asked Ian, her brow furrowing slightly.
“Yes. The word she was looking for was salvo, or possibly buon giorno, given that it's morning,” Ian replied. “Whoops, wait, this is our cue.” He pushed the office door open just as Xavier asked Sylvana, "Are you staying, then?"
Actually, you did some mistakes here.
First, "Ciao" can also be used to greet somebody, but is considered informal. Basically, it's "hello", "hi" and "bye" in a single word. Still not good to use to greet the Professor, though.
Second, it's "Salve" not "Salvo". Salvo is an Italian name. Rarely used and quite outdated, that is, but still a name. Or the present participle of the verb "salvare"(to save).
I noticed them probably only because I am Italian, though. -
