Yes, there are two. Technically there are four, but I'll let someone else handle the other two. What can I say? They breed like rabbits.
Anyway, at the urging of some of the folks in the main IRC channel, for reasons I'm still trying to comprehend, I'm here to petition for official recognition of #PPC2, as a sort of overflow channel. It already serves as a shelter for people to duck into if there's drama in the main channel, and, when the seas are calm, as a way to keep from getting various conversations tangled up.
What I'm asking is that it get added to the topic or whatever we call that thing up top, so that people know it actually exists. That way we don't have people go "Wait, there's a second channel?" every few weeks. (Sometimes the same people, too. :| )
What exactly is the IRC?
Can I have a link to it?

Could you please post under hS's post instead? If I'm not mistaken, this falls under the category of "things that might help the IRC become a better place". It would be good to have all these suggestions in one location so they don't get lost.
Data, maybe you could start a sub-thread of suggestions?
Thanks!
Araeph
P.S. Official recognition would be nice. :)
I didn't even think about that, sorry. I don't really use the board much.
Do we really need a sub-thread for suggestions when people can just post them in the appropriate thread? Suggestions of what sort, anyway?
Yep, I was one of the people who was talking about it. And I think it'd be a cool idea. I like the idea of being able to go to another channel when one was overstuffed or people were talking about something heavy when you had just had a hard day and wanted to relax.
