This has happened befor, plenty of times. All we can do is remove them from the list. There'll always be more badfic.

Hey, whilst searching for a suitable first mission to spork (once I have my permission)I found one, which I thought was appropriate, however after clicking on the link I found that the story had been deleted from FF.net where it had been originally posted, going through the rest of the Unclaimed Badfic list I found several others in a similar situation (see the list below, Category followed by fanfic). This is just from the given links I don't know if they're posted elsewhere on the internet.

Generally speaking, I'm pretty sure we just remove them from the list and either breathe a sigh of relief or pout at the lost opportunity. I think if they were in Claimed Badfic we might try to track them down, but given that they're in Unclaimed...well, thanks for the list; I'll go get rid of them :) (And if I've somehow missed something and that's not actually how we do things, the edits can always be reversed!)
Pity about Amy Virtue, that was an interesting one. I definitely won't miss Elaine of Tortall, though.
Thanks for the heads-up! Did you find another fic to eventually use?
