My thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected by both Sunday and Monday's storms. Fortunately (though I'm sure they don't think so) there was only one casualty Sunday night, and Monday's storm only claimed 24. I say only because Monday night the news was saying 51 with the possibility of more. Though so many more have lost their homes.

I also appreciate those thoughts and prayers, it looks like it may be a rough tornado season, and while we (I live in Stillwater (which is right between the path of both storms. One went just North and the other just South) and there is family in Carney (about 25 miles South of Stillwater and around 45 miles North of Monday's tornado) haven't been affected by these two storms, there are more to come I'm sure.

Guess I was wrong, Carney actually was hit, but there was no damage to family holdings 3 miles outside of town, so I hadn't realized the town actually did have some damage done to it.

We had to shelter last night, but we weren't in the storm path. We had a warning, nothing happened. That actually happens a lot. The county we're in gets hit quite a bit, but we physically don't....does that make sense? Apparently we're in between two rivers....or something....that's what we were told when we came here.

And apparently we just won the record a couple of weeks ago for the longest time the state's been tornado free. How ironic :/
