Oh, don't worry! I have a more straight-forward method for those bad-fictional abominations!

G'Day from Aussie!
I'm an avid reader of fanfiction who is, frankly, starting to get a bit weary of the various badfics out there; I'm therefore throwing down the gauntlet and throwing my support behind this community.
If anyone has any questions, fire away.
Christopher.
PS: Already read the majority of the Original Series and I have gone over the PPC Constitution a few times already.
Hi! Have some fudge!
Here's some snacks in a bag!
Have some chocolate. Dark chocolate. *yom* Unless you prefer toffee?
Hi! Have twelve and a half pairs of socks.
As for questions:
Should we support unilateral peace talks with Zombies? I mean, their insistence on brains makes any sort of compromise difficult, but at the same time if we're constantly at war with animated corpses people will get bored.
Unless any one of them starts showing a shred of their former humanity and can maintain it indefinatly, then no; Kill them all. Better to be safe and alive then sorry and dead.
Fair winds!
Now you can throw BBQ parties!
Ha, bet I scared you. Anyway, welcome to the Boards! Have a pet cat, a tinfoil hat, a cricket bat and a rug (which is not a mat).
Howdy there, Christopher. Welcome aboard. Catch you around on IRC sometime?
Eh, IRC? Can you explain?
Don't feed it Sues or Stus.
Oh, don't worry! I have a more straight-forward method for those bad-fictional abominations!
Welcome, new friend! Here, have this radiator-bleeding-key. They're very useful.
Just the thing for my second-hand car ... or my arch-enemy's car if necessary. Hahaha!
Have some purple chalk! And a noodle!
Cheers.
Soooo ... any advice regarding the board? I already have read the Constitution a couple of times, but I'm currently trying to get a feel for the community. (and I don't mean by THAT (if you know what I'm getting at), just to be clear)
Sorry, I'm not a ton of help- I've been on board less than a week. But it is a nice place to report Mary Sues for investigation!
Have some Elmer's Glue and a piece of foam!
Have a shining star for steering the inevitable tall ship by, a glowing rock that's useful for lighting dark places, a silver bell that's slightly off-key, and a half-dozen jumping paper frogs.
Well met, rookie! Please enjoy this pair of steel-toed boots as a welcoming present.
All the better to kick a Mary Sue with! Thanks.
I'm probably looking at geting involved with writing with the PPC myself, but I'll wait for a couple of months first and see how things work. The Wiki had already answered most of my questions, but stil ....
Welcome to the board. I hereby gift you this box of 100 stress relief balls. Not that you will need them or anything. They are just nice to have.
COMMENCE THE FIRING!
So, what fandoms are you into?
Also, have you checked out the Wiki? It is quite handy to find more spin-offs to read as well as information that is good to know.
Have fun and practice safe writing,
-Phobos
Haha, judging from what the PPC concerns itself with, those stress-relief balls might be good to have.
To answer your questions:
I)Im generally involved with the Mass Effect and Warhammer fandoms on FF.net, though I have been an avid reader of LOTR (the books and some of the good fanworks), StarCraft, some of the works by real-life author Tom Clancy and I am currently reading a work by Mark Twain: "A Recollection of the Life and Times of St Joan of Arc" (or someting like that).
II) I have. Inf fact, the Wiki was the first place I buzzed by before wanting to become involved. Helps a bit if you know about the world you are writing in, as many a writer here can attest
Welcome, new friend! Have an unwritten novel!
