Hiya! I'm interested in joining the PPC. Could I get some advice/suggestions/"creepy comments that tell me I'm in the right place" to help start me out? I have an agent fairly developed already, but I really don't know how to do this. Anjilly Ka is giving me some tips, and she's my beta for the Official Fanfiction University of Avatar: The Last Airbender (OFUA:TLA) fic that I'm writing. You should be able to figure most of it out just by poking around the wiki, but if you have any specific questions we'll be happy to help you find the answer.
Have a shining star - quite useful for sailing tall ships - and a can of dehydrated water. -

Why would you want it back? There are so many things you can do without a soul! For starters, soul-stealing fics and creatures, or places those without a soul cannot go, are now much easier to deal with!

Yes, I'm at OFUH. That got me to look into other OFUs, and OFUA:TLA just sort of appeared from that.

Who knows, really? Some...unique events go on over at the PPC universe. On this board's side of events though, we had a Boarder Shipfic Fest that happened as one of the lastest boarder events. -

Because if it is, you might want to get yourself a username. Just the Internet being what it is, y'know. (Even if that is a username, you might want to change it here if you're using it on FF.net. We're a...somewhat unpopular group in the fanfiction community, so a degree of anonymity can be helpful. When I first joined up, my FF.net account in the same name got some pretty killer flames. Had to take it down, it got so bad.)
But enough of this gloom and doom and stories pertaining to my personal Internet experience, which admittedly contain a great deal of afformentioned bad stuff! Welcome to the PPC, and have a fuzzy scarf for thy troubles! -

It's not my real name....it's an original name I created for a story. Said story has disappeared into the realms of forgottenness, but the character lived on, and has become pretty much my pen name for everything. I suppose I could change it....but I've already introduced myself with it....

The day I posted that, something went wrong in my life that had nothing to do with the PPC at all, so I was just being pessimistic about everything in general. I was prompted by one of the oldbies to do a little fact-checking, and that particular incident was actually my own fault...

I believe the place you want to be right now is our wiki. The new and improved front page ought to walk you through everything you need to get started--or, if it doesn't, you can let me know so I can make it MORE improved. {= )
As for Bleeprin, there are no known side effects, at least not for normal usage (though there are some hazards if you're a bird or you're silly enough to mix it with alcohol). I have an agent who's bound and determined to push the envelope due to some special circumstances, but so far he's doing all right--unless you take not remembering his dreams anymore as a bad thing. He doesn't.
Of course, if you think there are going to be side effects, the chances greatly increase. Bleeprin's one of those things that works because you want it to. {= )

Thank you for the advice. I've been goin over Wiki already, but there's sooo much to look at...does it have condensed-form lists of departments, technology, that sort of thing? I haven't found any yet, but I'll keep lookin'!

I wanted to bring up a slight issue I had with the new wiki front page. There isn't a link to The complete List of PPC Spin-Offs, I'm not sure if it's a huge deal to anyone else, but I used it a lot. I do think a quick way to it would help, but than again, that's only my opinion.

I think it's cool you already have an agent, and all we ask of you to let them simmer on low for about a month so they are cooked through and their delicious smell can waft through the board for all of us to admire.
Please stir from time to time by posting on the board to mix your flavors in properly, and so we all can see you work and your style of cooking.

Actually, I have a question....what are the side effects of bleeprin? I've read the Original Series, and am working on others, but I can't recall ever seeing the side-effects of bleeprin listed. I mean, bleach has some pretty nasty effects, I hear....and too much aspirin can do bad things to a person. Is there anything I should be worried about?
Plus....what kind of posts are you asking for here? -

Hello, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. As a newbie gift, I give you a box of assorted pixels and half-melted, plastic Army Men.
I am not sure as to the side-effects of Bleeprin, so I will let others who are more knowledgeable answer that one.
As for the posts... Anything. We want to get a sense of who you are, so the more you post (though avoiding multiple new posts in a short amount of time is a good rule) and, more importantly, reply to others' posts the better we can get to know you. A good place to start is reading any stories that get plugged (like the one I plugged a few posts down, *nudge nudge*) on the Board and writing a review in reply to the post. That will give us an idea of your sense of humor (very important in the PPC) and your writing skills.
Again, welcome. Make yourself at home, and don't feed the trolls (except Agent Barid, who is no longer allowed in the cafeteria).

Actually, I'd like an opinion on something from the oldbies. How do cookies as a weapon sound? I'm mildly infamous for them in real life (mainly cookies as throwing stars).
So...I could post stuff like short stories that come to mind of my characters entering the PPC life? Get feedback on basic ideas for my characters and advice on how to make them more PPC worthy? I have no intention of trying ANYTHING to do with missions until my month's up. I realize that I still need to learn a lot about the PPC, and I would like to get some help on that before I try anything agent-related.
