Dude, anyone who actually picked up the part of France would qualify as awesome forever. Mostly because there's essentially no way I'm going to survive much longer without assistance from France and Italy. Do it for the Russain pandas?
Is there any interest here for someone to join in on a Diplomacy Game that's well underway? 24 hour turns (12 hours for retreats).
You'd be taking over for France who is one of the better off countries.

I am at my three game limit at the moment. If this had come up a couple days ago, I would have jumped on it because I finished a game (which I won in a two-way draw) and was looking for another one to join.

SplitDiplomat. Not sure if it was someone in here (unlikely, I think, since I never gave the link) or just someone who joined randomly from the normal matchmaking queue.
I guess I'm not selling this game too well with how often people quit. You'd also be joining into a position that is much less enviable, as you'd be more or less single-handedly trying to repel the might force that is Turkey (me).
