I've never heard of this universe before, so if you don't mind, could you enlighten me a bit. Wouldn't mind a link to their wiki page, if you happen to have one...

The fic's only up to chapter 3, but I found seven charges without really trying (including one mini). It might be worth sporking once it's closer to finished.

It's based off a series of novels by Mercedes Lackey. Many of the novels focus on the Kingdom of Valdemar, so that's become a shorthand reference to the entire series/world.
