I agree heavily. Even only being able shapeshift into one form, like an Animagus, would be amazing.

what would you wish for? It can be anything real, or made-up. Oh, and it cant be 'x more wishes', let's just stick to the one.
I would wish for a working Metal Gear REX, not to launch nukes or anything, it's just my favorite mech from ANYTHING. Plodding around in that thing would be super fun.
I would wish for the ability to resist the procrastination temptation.
Seriously.
That would solve ALL MY PROBLEMS. All of them. I swear to God.
Well, that or I wish I could force myself to go to bed earlier. Either one is fine, though the first one would probably take care of the second one anyway.
be perfectly fluent in all languages that have ever existed. Think of all the fascinating things you could learn if you could read and understand absolutely everything... *sighs*
I would wish for more consistant inspiration. It has always been pretty sporadic and I would like to be able to sit down and write a complete story instead of just bits and pieces of one.
Open-Source Wish Project? I guess it could help. I never actually thought about how technical this wish thing could get, it's actually pretty interesting.
... for the science fiction series I'm writing. It's called Dram of Evil.
(Preferably a D&D-verse gold, as polymorph self at will is rather useful.)
Depending on what kind of dragon, you don't need any wish
If not, I would go with immortal agelessness, or a personal hovercar. 'Cause you can't hit another car if yours is up in the air!
Definitely shape-shifting. With the caveat, of course, that you keep your mind and soul in every shape you take. I don't mind it taking practice-- as in, turning your physical shape into a dog's does not mean you are good at being a quadruped, and flight would be a trick unto itself-- and a new trick with every different kind of bird. (Example: crows flap like crazy to gain altitude at all, raptors soar, sparrows flutter, and hummingbirds are basically the teeny-tiny helicopters of the avian world.) Likewise with sharks, and remembering to keep your tail in motion at all times.
Still! Imagine shifting into a Thunderbird-- you could make it all the way across the continent in record time! Or, if you could do something extra-dimensional, like a Sasquatch or one of the Fae, and use the Ways? Plus, disguises! Invisibility! And all the experiments it would take aside, eventually being able to fly in human form!

I would wish to have the universe fulfill the meaning of any statement that "I" make that is preceded by the phrase "I wimble-wamble-flimble-flamble that. . . ".
If not, first I hire a lawyer. Then, I wish for the fulfilment of Wish Contract #1. (This is to avoid semantic loopholes messing it up.)
What Wish Contract #1 would be, I'm not sure. A wish for immortality has so many catches even a wish contract might not get rid of them all, so I probably shouldn't risk it. Maybe a perfect memory, retroactive if possible (AND the ability to forget things at will: unlike Agent Nume, I don't have Bleepka to help me). If that counts as two, I suppose I'd settle for a dream recorder.
The ability to actually remember all of the stuff the teachers are pushing at you. Friggin' O-Chem...
Good point, o fellow flaming thing. Although I need time instead, to write essays and seminar papers and such.
*puts on chem tutor hat*
Hints for o-chem: draw out the mechanisms a few times, put them into categories and find patterns, and don't forget your molecular modeling kit.

Because if you said, say, 'I wish I could sing', and you just get a cop-out like 'Oh, well everyone can sing, can't they, just not well', you'd be a bit mad.
I would wish for the ability to draw well. It's always something I've wanted to be able to do, but I draw worse than a duck with no wings. =(
