It has come to my attention that some departments do not have flash patch images on the Wiki!
I thought at first it was just the new DIAU that didn't have one; so I designed one (turns out it did have one; it was just a formatting error...)
Anyhow, here's my design--
I also made one for the All Purpose Department (though I don't know if it looks rubbery enough...)
Anyway, clicking through the departments, I saw that some of them had very hastily done flash patch images or else none at all. So I'm posting here to say: If you have a good flash patch image for a PPC department, please put it up on the wiki!
Also, for those departments where we can't dig them up, does anyone object to my making more flash patches? I'm not an artist and I did these in Paint... so yeah... but they aren't supposed to look really fancy anyway. I'm going more for "simple enough to embroider on a high-tech cloth patch". :)
Department of Improbabilities' dead parakeet:
And the Bad Parody headless rubber chicken:
I also cut out an image of a bladderwrack frond for Cruel and Unusual Punishment, and a non-squashed version of the Bad Roleplay's black swift, but I don't like either one of those.
I have been doing the same thing, trying to make a standardized mission patch for all departments. maybe we should work together. The link below connects to all of the patches I have made so far. my main problem is the time it take me to convert or fabricate a simple color 400X400 pixel mock up of a patch that I can then color and join. If you would provide said mock ups, then I could cut the time it takes me to finish them in half.

Are you using regular images, then turning them into "cloth" texture? I'm using random background images (you know, from those "free wallpaper" sites) and transparency to get that effect, but that's not exactly the best solution, especially using MS Paint. I think I'm getting an effect kind of like an iron-on patch; you're getting more like a printed cloth effect... I don't have photoshop and haven't had time to learn to use anything else at the moment.
Dang it, can we have some actual artists to draw these images? I am NOT AN ARTIST!!! Halp!!!
...Um. Yes.
*gathers up the extra exclamation points and hands out earplugs*
Sorry about that.
Your flash patches look great; can you upload and post them to the wiki (or give someone else permission to do so)?
I think that last post looked a little overdramatic; I'm not actually flipping out here. I am just not very sure of having any sort of ability to draw a proper flash patch image. :)
I am peanut banana crazy so over dramatic is kinda in my job description. As for your work, great work, in fact, if you do not mind, I am stealing your pics to use as mock ups.

I love to draw and if someone needs a picture of a flower/ character/ department patch/ whatever for the wiki I might be able to help if I have free time.
I wouldn't want to steal your spotlight. :)
