In the spirit of loltypo and itslikewhat, I created this comm for all those horrible, horrible titles we encounter. My favourite still has to be "Shadow Rapes Matthias", but there are many, many more, not the least of which can be found in our old Fill the Plothole games. If anyone wants to come and join, feel free!

I have no titles for you. Oh, wait, yes I do: Ecstasy in Exile, by Amandalynwood, ff.net. See, it's supposed to mean that the girl has found ecstasy (love of the sex type) while in exile, but it could mean that ecstasy is in exile... get it? Hah. That makes me feel a little bit better.

Could be worse. One of my more recent Bad Slash missions was of a fic entitled "Lullabies, Anal Rape and Dental Hygiene". It's probably very wrong that my first response to that was "That needs an Oxford comma", and my second was to point out that the fic had a distinct lack of lullabies (there was a scene with bedtime stories, but no singing).

At some point in the story the victim of Item Two in the title uttered the line "There's nothing more painful than being anally raped!!" My first response to that was "Yes there is!" (Said character has actually probably had some of said more painful things happen to him - admittedly I'm not in a position to comment on either problem, but I'm pretty sure having your head crushed with a Vauxhall Astra would hurt quite a lot more.)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there are things more painful than being anally raped, though perhaps he was referring to the emotional pain? Cause if he was, then none of us are really in a position to comment.

Also, I went and read your sporkings. Oh dear god the fics were bad. They were nearly too horrible to read even with the MST, but I sat through it.

The fic in question was exorcised by me - it's somewhere on my LJ, more easily found on my Dreamwidth page ("rc88", under the title "Melodicas, Pain, and Oxford Commas").

Did you see my other MSTing of the RPF fic where the guys are completely unsurprised to have cartoon characters barge in on them?
