Well, Rose/Ross are at least passable in Hary potter, and while they might not really know anything about NIN's music, I can see that as being the basis for a lot of amusement, actually. Along the lines of "Wait, I was selected for this mission based on one album that my ex loaded onto my computer years ago and I listened to enough to decide it wasn't worth my time?" quickly followed by "Wait, this doesn't even sound like the same band! Can't believe I never listened to any of their earlier stuff..."

So yeah, if you don't find anyone else, I'll do it.

... completely screws up the lyrics. I'm thinking the song plays over the action, as has been mentioned happening in songfics before, but now it's horribly off-key. Sounds right?

Sounds just about right. I know in the last songfic I had to tackle (thankfully it was only a chapter of a larger fic) the ficcer changed a couple of the words, and those were screechily sung off-key over the real words. So perhaps in this case it would be mostly screech with a few points of actual song?

Aside from the mutilation of Trent Reznor's work, we have rampantly-OOC Harry Potter and Remus Lupin, less-than-great grammar and spelling, and the rather disturbing physical impossibility of Harry managing to bugger Lupin while Lupin is sitting in a chair (yes, it's definitely that way round).

Sadly, no - if it were just Harry Potter, my Agent Sedri could help, but she's Freelance DMS and about to be thrown into the DIC, and she can't stomach bad slash. I also don't know a thing about Nine Inch Nails. Sorry.

I'm not sure if that counts as a Mini because I've never seen it in fic, but my sister was convinced for a while that Merry was in fact a girl, because his name sounds kind of like "Mary". (The difference is more distinct when it's said in our own accent, she was a preteen at the time, and she wasn't really paying attention to the movies.)

Mary is an actual Merry mini. I don't know where he/she(?) is from, because there's no record and zie's one of the older ones, from back when Miss Cam still ran the adoptions.
